Matt Tatham Memorial Awards

Are you a full-time student enrolled in the B.Sc Specialized Honours Food Science Program at the University of Guelph?

In partnership with the University of Guelph, Food Science Program Caldic invites you to submit an application for consideration for The Matt Tatham Memorial Awards. Each year, an Award Selection Committee chooses a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner to receive the following awards:

First Place $5,000
Second Place $3,000
Third Place $2,000

In 2009, this award was renamed in memory of Matt Tatham, a graduate of the Food Science Program at the University of Guelph.   Matt was a highly respected professional in the bakery business in North America and enjoyed great success as Business Manager at Nealanders (now Caldic).  Matt was also a Masters World Champion triathlete and lived each and every day to the fullest; always displaying a positive nature and upbeat attitude.  A self-described “student of life”, this award is a testament to Matt’s commitment to learning and his zest for life.
